Groundworks
In a project that stretched beyond the anticipated 52-week programme, HH Construction Ltd undertook an ambitious venture, leading the development of a major distribution warehouse. With a significant work value of £4 million, the company spearheaded the construction of 6 cutting-edge industrial units, crafting a new standard in industrial infrastructure. Integral to the project were the meticulously designed estate roads up to stone formation level, and the precision-driven GPS-controlled foundations and drainage system. This system was notably intricate, including 12 interceptors that dove up to 6.5 meters deep. State-of-the-art connections to fresh water (FW) and sewage (SW) mains were executed seamlessly, along with the preparation of internal slabs using a GPS Dozer. The project also encompassed the construction of substations, elaborate trenching for services, external yard preparations, and intricate kerbing. The holistic development vision included lighting systems, bin stores, footpath and carpark preparations, and protective bollards. Additionally, a commitment to environment and accessibility was evident in the reprofiling of perimeter earthworks and repairs to the existing public right-of-way (PROW).
